Training Tips #4

"I agree. I tape my gels when I do a 3-hour ride and it works great. I've found electrical tape is the best, because it doesn't leave a sticky residue when you take it off. Otherwise, I really like the basket Nicole has on her bike.…"

"I go to 24 hour fitness and I think it's pretty good. I like that my membership is good at any 24-hour across the country. It's only $30 a month, so not too expensive."

no kansas for me...

After more than five months of training for one specific race, I'mfairly disappointed I won't be racing Kansas 70.3. My knee issues justaren't getting any better. In fact, it's gotten worse. It has beenreally tough to train over the past week or so, mainly because I kindaknew I had to make this decision. I worked extremely hard to get towhere I am and now it feels like I failed myself a bit.I knowinjuries are part of life, especially running, but it sucks to have todeal with a different injury…See More

From October to May

Apparently, I've come a long way since October 3rd, 2009. I've decided

to break down my results from the Falcon Groundspeed triathlons and see

exactly how I improved 17:59 over 7 months.

Overall Time: October: 2:10:10, May: 1:52:11

I finished 121st out of 207 yesterday, which put me in the 58th

percentile. In October, I finished 102 out of 132, so in the 77th

percentile.

AFA Falcon Groundspeed Triathlon - Post Race

Having done this triathlon last October, I pretty much knew what to expect coming into this morning. I ran through my race plan the night before and was pretty sure I had everything ready. I went to bed early and wasn't nervous at all, so I slept amazing. Apparently, I didn't set my alarm, but still managed to wake up around 6:10, so I still had plenty of time. I made a strawberry shake and brought an orange with for pre-race fuel.

I got to the Academy and setup my transition spot.… Continue

My Training Blog

It's not very exciting and I don't update it nearly as much as I should... but here's a link to my training blog: http://coloradocory.blogspot.com/

At this point, it's just for my upcoming Ironman 70.3 in June. However, I'm sure I'll have more races that I'll keep blogging about. Enjoy!

Yeah, I'd really like to start organizing some rides through the site here. I know there are ton of rides all over town all week long. I'd also like to create a comprehensive list of all the rides available. Now that would be cool.
