DESCRIPTION: A nice and scenic loop located on the US Air Force Academy. You need ID to get in. Recommend that you park near the stadium, then head west up the service road to where the Falcon Trail crosses the road, about a quarter mile from the parking lot. The trail was recently re-done, so there's not much technical riding. But there is lots of nice flowing singletrack, plus great scenery. It's a good climbing trail, with fun descents.
DIRECTIONS: There are numerous access points for the trail; this track starts right near the Air Force Academy stadium: from the south entrance, take Stadium Blvd. to Academy Rd., go approx. ¼ mile past Falcon Stadium and look for a dirt parking lot on the right. The trailhead is across the street from the lot. If you live close enough to the Academy, this trail can also be reached by the Santa Fe County Trail. Be sure to bring an ID to enter the Academy
