Running, Cycling, Hiking and Climbing in the Pikes Peak Region
The cold weather didn't stop the Winter Series runners from knocking off a windy, snow-packed course on the Santa Fe Trail near Monument on Saturday. Race organizers did shorten the long-course run from 10 to 5 miles because of the single-digit windchill. Ryan Hafer won the long-course race for the third time, while Stephanie Meredith picked up her second win.
