Running, Cycling, Hiking and Climbing in the Pikes Peak Region
About 1,600 runners charged away from the starting line in the 36th running of the Garden of the Gods 10-Mile Run on Sunday in Manitou Springs. Lauren Kleppin of Fort Collins, Colo., won the women's race with a time of 1:03:03. Teklu Deneke of Flagstaff posted a time of 54 minutes flat to take the men's race. They each won $1,500 for their efforts.
