Running, Cycling, Hiking and Climbing in the Pikes Peak Region
This is the start of the American Discovery Trail Marathon, Sept. 5 in Palmer Lake. The runners are about half a mile into the race and heading for the finish in downtown Colorado Springs. Martin Mudry, 24 of Colorado Springs, won with an age-group (20-24) record of 2 hours, 32 minutes and 53 seconds. Sharon Howard, 27, of Aurora, won the women's race in 3:01:01.
