Running, Cycling, Hiking and Climbing in the Pikes Peak Region
This is the start of the inaugural Cheyenne Mountain 25K Trail Race Saturday at Cheyenne Mountain State Park. Peter Maksimow (Enov8/Colorado Running Company) and Tommy Manning (Colorado Running Company) crossed the finish line in a tie, but the official results had Maksimow winning by .01 seconds. Amanda Ewing (Colorado Running Company) won the women's race with Melissa Eichers-Bay (Boulder Running Company) finishing second. The race was produced by Steve Rogers and Andrea Watkins of Epic Endurace Events.
