Sage Canaday was new to mountain running in 2012 when he competed in his first Pikes Peak Ascent. He finished fourth that year, knocking out the famous 13.32-mile singletrack course in 2 hours, 21 minutes. Not bad, but he's certain he can run faster to the peak's 14,115-foot summit. He'll have the opportunity to take care of unfinished business on Saturday (Aug. 16, 2014) when he runs for Team USA in the World Mountain Running Association Long Distance Championship at the Pikes Peak Ascent.
