Running, Cycling, Hiking and Climbing in the Pikes Peak Region
Inov-8/Colorado Running Company's Pete Maksimow charged to the win in the Rescue Run 10K Sunday at Palmer Park. Maksimow, 33, of Manitou Springs, covered the hilly course in 35 minutes, 49 seconds. The route included some stretches of icy and snow-packed single track. It was a great day for Colorado Running Company runners. The Connilee Walter won the women's race in 43:36, while Dan Castaneda (17:15) and Rochelle Persson (20:19) captured the 5K titles.
Maksimow, Walter and Persson won Rescue Run titles in 2011.
