Running, Cycling, Hiking and Climbing in the Pikes Peak Region
The University of Colorado's Folsom Field was packed and loud as race fans cheered men's elite winner Belete Assefa of Ethiopia to the finish line. Assefa won the 10K in 29:22.56. His countryman Soloman Gonfa was second (29:27.64) followed by Kenyan Allan Kiprono in third (29:35:13). James Carney of Boulder was the first American to finish. He placed fifth in 30:16:15.
