Running, Cycling, Hiking and Climbing in the Pikes Peak Region
Colorado Running Company runner Alex Nichols had never really put the hammer down in a marathon. But in the American Discovery Trail Marathon on Monday, he showed what he can do. Nichols, 25, of Colorado Springs, dashed away from Timmy Parr, of Gunninson, at Mile 17 and won with a course-record time of 2:30:32.
