Local Pros Gonzales, Macgraw headline "Lucky #7"

Southern Colorado is home to ROLL Bike Art Festival and a vibrant bicycle community.  Two of the most notable cycling enthusiasts in the region are Professional Artist David Gonzales and Pro Flatland BMXer James Macgraw.  ROLL is the place to be as these local pros strut their stuff at the 7th Annual Bike Festival, ROLL 2011.
Gonzales is best known for his murals, window paintings and his penchant for riding his bike to every commissioned work, including the new Penrose Hospital on Woodman and Powers.  David Gonzales returns once more to his cycling roots this year with acrylics which capture the immediacy and emotion of riding at high altitude.  Gonzales supports ROLL for the 3rd year in 2011.
Macgraw is known worldwide for his amazing technical prowess on the bicycle.  Macgraw is an artist as he performs flatland BMX routines, each routine beautiful and powerful as a painting by Picasso.  James will certainly wow the whole family, as he has a special magnetism with youth.  Macgraw supports ROLL for the 2nd year in 2011.
New this year is ROLL Bike Art at the Kids On Bikes Festival, Sunday, August 21st at America The Beautiful Park.  ROLL will host a bike wheel decorating clinic for kids from 12 - 4 PM.  Volunteer opportunities are available for the clinic from 11 AM - 1 PM or from 2 - 4:30 PM.  Pick a time to help a child create their first exhibited work of bike art!
The deadline for entries for "Lucky #7" for all adults is set for July 1, 2011.
