About

Tim Bergsten created this Ning Network.

We are pretty fortunate to have Pikes Peak as our playground right in our own backyard.

We couldn’t ask for a more beautiful sight when out for an early morning run?!

Our usual Thursday Incline turned into a Friday Incline this week with the rain yesterday.  I know, pretty wimpy right?   Although it was a little hazy over the city, a great early morning view over the city and the sunrise from the top the Incline. It seems no matter how many times I do the Incline, it manages to kick my butt every time but it is such a great workout.

The railroad ties were a little slick, but the Incline was completely clear.

I decided to go up Barr Trail a little bit because it was such a beautiful morning out.  I cut over to Barr Trail and started up.  Just past No-Name Creek I ran into snow.  Since we do the Incline year round, seeing snow wasn’t a big surprise but it is May 10th after all!The snow actually got fairly deep in some sections and hadn't been beaten down yet from all the hikers.

Time only allowed me to get up to where Bob's Road connects with the trail so sadly had to turn around at this point.

What a great way to start the day!
