The Berlin Marathon!

WHEW! I know it was a two weeks ago, but I just got back from my travels aboard and wanted to post a race report for the Berlin Marathon!

I ran the race through Marathon Tours and felt like they were very well organized (running it through them included their membership fee, the race cost and hotel cost for 4 nights).  The hotel was centrally located in Berlin so it made for an easy walk to the start line…well as easy as walking to the start line with 40,000 other racers can…

Let's Do the Damn Thing!

DUNT, DUNT, DUUUUUN….race week well upon us! At this point I am ready to just DO IT! I am quite frankly tired of feeling anxious about it! This past weekend I had a phenomenal time at the Ragnar Relay with 11 of my new BFFs running from Copper Mountain to Snowmass. The scenery and comradery was unprecedented and is helping me to carry me through this week with an eerie calmness. Time Flies When You're Having Fun

Taper Time! Oh how time files when you’re having fun! I can’t believe race day(s) are almost here!

Here’s what I’ve been up to – Last weekend I spent some time on Elbert. I initially started up the southeast ridge which had a little more elevation gain and mileage than the popular northeast ridge. Round and Round We Go!

In my last post I ranted endlessly about how much I thought I was going to dislike the loops in the Summer Round Up 12k...turns out they weren't that bad. It was actually a pretty fast course in general.

However, this was a fairly crappy race for me for other reasons. My lower back was killing me! Like "sweet baby jee...mother of Mary" killing me! I stupidly did some heavy weighted lunges a few days prior…
