The Mt. Lemmon Marathon in Arizona bills itself as "The World's Toughest Road Marathon," but Don Solberg of Peyton has his own opinion.
Solberg finished eighth overall and third in his age group with a time of 3:51 on Sunday at Mt. Lemmon, but proudly displayed a hand-written sign that said, "Mt. Lemmon was tough, but not as tough as America's Ultimate Challenge, the Pikes Peak Marathon!"
We say, nice race, and way to represent, Don!
Solberg, 42, placed 29th overall in the 2011 Pikes Peak Marathon with a time of 5:02:51.
Solberg loves Pikes Peak. This summer got a cool tattoo across the top of his shoulders that shows a Pikes Peak with the elevation 14,115'.
