Running, Cycling, Hiking and Climbing in the Pikes Peak Region
Colorado Springs cycling advocates Allen Beauchamp and Al Brody, Chris Murray from Bicycle Experience and Tim Bergsten of PikesPeakSports.us plowed through four inches of crunchy snow on the surface of Eleven Mile Reservoir on Jan. 16, 2012. Brody may have been the first cyclist to ride a bike on Eleven Mile. Rangers there said they could not recall seeing another bike on the ice. Beauchamp quickly arranged a group ride and the four riders hit the ice. Needless to say, they maxed out the "smile meter."
