Running For Rachael 5K

A great field of runners, a handful of Imperial Storm Troopers, a very fast family, a perfect blue-sky day and a spirit of community made the Running for Rachael 5K an event to remember.
About 204 runners toed the line for the race, a fundraiser for Rachael’s Ribbons of Hope Foundation, which helps fund research to battle brain cancer.
Rachael Newton died four years ago at age 14. She began the Ribbons of Hope Foundation while she was undergoing treatment.
Tommy Manning won the race for the third time, crossing the finish line in 16 minutes, 42 seconds. Paul Williams was second in 17:04.
The big story in the race was the Scholl family from Kremmling.
Tabor Scholl, 14, won the women's race in 19:24. She was followed my her mother, Stephanie in 21:33.
In the men's race, 10-year-old Tyler Scholl placed third in 17:44, while Shawn Scholl (husband and dad) finished in the Top 10. Results, race story and video coming soon.
