Pikes Peak Road Runners Fall Series Awards Ceremony

About 100 runners and their family members attended the Pikes Peak Road Runners Fall Series Awards Ceremony on Saturday at the downtown YMCA.
There was great food and lots of laughter.
Here are some of the highlights.
American Discovery Trail Marathon race director Sara Wulfkuhle presented the Trails and Open Space Cioalition with a check for $17,500.
Dave Sorenson earned the President's Award from PPRR president John Gardner.
Mike Shafai was selected as volunteer of the year.
Some fun facts about the Pikes Peak Road Runners:
Club membership stands at 1,655.
PPRR produced or helped with 43 races in this year.
There were 16,700 finishers at PPRR races.
There were 316 PPRR volunteers that worked 7,896 hours, roughly 25 hours each.
Some 4,500 donuts were consumed at PPRR races and other events.
The organization downed about 90 pounds of spaghetti at it's awards functions.
Larry Miller has served as Fall Series Race Director for 21 years.
