Even the old-timers at the Jack Quinn's Running Club had to shake their heads in wonder.
They added up the numbers on Tuesday and discovered that 53 runners had earned their 10-run shirts. Nobody could remember a night when the club handed out so many of their coveted tech tees.
"It just keeps getting bigger and bigger," said club president Jesus Jimenez.
The total number of participants wasn't available, but a steady stream of runners flowed around the 5K course from 5 to 7 p.m.
They did welcome one runner to the "Century Club." Steve Rocks completed his 100th run to earn the club's black, long-sleeved shirt.
