Pearl Izumi signs on as Quiznos Pro Challenge sponsor

LOUISVILLE - Pearl Izumi USA Inc., a sports apparel company in Louisville, is the official clothing sponsor for the Quiznos Pro
Challenge bike race.

The seven-day road race in Colorado is slated for Aug. 22-28.

"We're super-excited that there's a world-class cycling event in Colorado, and
that Pearl Izumi is able to be a part of that," said Geoff Shaffer,
global marketing director for the company.

Pearl Izumi will make jerseys for the race and also will sell race-themed jerseys to
consumers, Shaffer said. The sponsorship is in the $200,000 range, he
said, declining to be more specific.
