Hey there Colorado – don’t let a map and compass or being a newbie to Adventure Racing scare you away from trying out the short course of Rampart RAGE… Two upcoming REI clinics can help you get prepared for a day of fun and adventure.
July 6th Map and Compass Basics
REI will cover the basics such as understanding map symbols, orienting the map and compass, declination adjustment, and reading terrain features. Participants are encouraged to bring their own compass. These classes are limited to the first 16 people to sign up. Register on-line, call customer service at 260-1455, or come into the store to register. The class will begin promptly at 6:00PM.
July 7th Adventure Racing in the Front Range
Come learn about all the fun you can have while adventure racing like paddling an inflatable kayak on a scenic mountain lake, dropping from a giant boulder on to a 300ft zipline, trekking through the forests amidst trees and rock formation, and mountain biking some of the most amazing single track trails that Colorado has to offer.
