Kacey Carr and Corinne Shalvoy powered through a cold wind in the Black Forest to win the Winter Series IV men's and women's 20K races on Saturday.
Shalvoy, 35, of Castle Rock, finished in 1 hour, 26 minutes, 50 seconds. Carr (32, Colorado Springs) won the men's race in 1:16:16.
Elizabeth Helland (40, Colorado Springs) and Daniel Metzger (23, Colorado Springs) captured the overall long-series titles.
