Start of the Cañya Cañon 6K race Sunday, Nov. 7, in Colorado Springs
About 250 runners turned out to run in the Cañya Cañon 6K race. The race was a fund raiser for Friends of Cheyenne Cañon. The event also gave runners an opportunity to learn about the Colorado Springs Independent's Give Campaign, which annually raises money for several nonprofit organizations in the Pikes Peak Region. The Friends of Cheyenne Cañon are a part of the Indy Give Campaign, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, as well as the Pikes Peak Humane Society were represented at the race.
