It was all about pedal power at the UCCS Bike Jam
Sarah Martin, coordinator of the Bike Jam at the University of Colorado - Colorado Springs, talks increasing bicycle commuting to and from campus and programs that encourage students to ride more. Bicycle traffic has picked up on campus, prompting the school to provide more bike racks. The UCCS BikeShare program - students can check out a bike 10 times a year - and has been extemely popular. And there are showering facilities and changing rooms on campus for cycling commuters. The Bike Jam was organized by the UCCS Office of Sustainability.
