Dan Vega wins Xterra Half Marathon, then runs another 13.1 miles for fun
Dan Vega, 45, of Colorado Springs, talks about his big day at the Xterra Half Marathon at Cheyenne Mountain State Park. Vega took the win in 1:32:26, then returned to the course to run another 13.1-mile lap on the park's rolling - and sometimes steep - singletrack. Vega, who notched his third-consecutive victory in the Xterra half marathon, finished his second lap in about 2:10 and covered the marathon distance in about 3:42, the fastest time of the day over 26.2 miles.
