ROLL Bike Art Festival finds a Fresh Gear in Manitou

The Business of Art Center and rollbikeart.com are proud to present the 6th Annual ROLL Bike Art Festival. Local, regional, and national artists will display their current original bike artwork at Venue 515, 515 Manitou Avenue, for one weekend only! Don't miss out on this exciting event August 13th, 14th and 15th!
This years' theme is Fresh Gear to celebrate our fresh venue. Artists of all tire sizes are encouraged to submit their current original artwork. Young or old artists are encouraged to download a copy of the Call for Artists on facebook or by contacting rollexhibit@gmail.com
ROLL is co-ordinated with a series of bicycle-related events sponsored by Metro Rides Bike Month+
2010. Bike Month+ will sponsor events such as Territory Days, May 29 - 31; the annual Bike to Work Day Breakfast, June 9; ROLL, August 14; and the Pikes Peak EcoFestival, August 26; providing a FREE Bike Valet service to all riders. Bike Month+ and ROLL encourage attendees to ride their Bike to the show where you will be offered a FREE Bike Valet service, a Bristol Brew coupon, and a selection of FREE cycling clinics.
ROLL will open on Friday, August 13 at Venue 515 from 5 - 9 PM. There will be great art, fine company, raw food, live music and your favorite beverages available. Opening night is a fundraiser for Medicine Wheel Trail Group, www.medwheel.org, so be sure to donate to this local organization anytime throughout the evening.
New for 2010 is Free Saturday/ Kids' Zone beginning at 10 AM, Saturday, August 14 at The Business of Art Center, 513 Manitou Avenue, Manitou Springs. Suburban Shred will sponsor local pro rider James Macgraw as he shows off his cycling skills for young BMXers and their families.
Kids On Bikes www.kidsonbikes.net will host workshops for youth to Make Cog Dreamcatchers from 10 AM - 1 PM. Local bike shops will host a variety of clinics and there will be a bike rodeo. Parents and weekend cycling rides may want to make a stop across the street to catch the Craft Lager Fest beginning at 1 PM Saturday and Sunday, sponsored by Trinity Brewing.
