Falcon High School runner Bryce Gregoire and the Colorado Running Company’s Amanda Ewing charged to victories in the Junior League’s Reach Your Peak 4-mile Run/Walk Sunday at Colorado College.
Gregoire won the overall with a time of 24 minutes, 41 seconds. Ewing crossed the finish line in 26:02.
Both were happy to win, but they have their personal goals.
“I’m hoping to go under 16 minutes in cross country (5K) this year,” Gregoire said. “I think I can do it.”
Ewing, put in a long run of 15 miles on Saturday, has the summit of Pikes Peak on her mind.
“My big race this year is going to be the Pikes Peak Ascent,” she said. “I’m really excited about it.”
The race was a fundraiser for the Junior League, which assists women and children in Colorado Springs.
