The XTERRA 5K on Sunday (April 6, 2014) became became a family race between Travis Tabares and daughters Kayli, 14, and Jalynn, 12. Travis won the men's race in 21:27, on the technical and muddy trails at Cheyenne Mountain State Park.
But he worked hard to outrun Kayli, who finished third overall in 23:17. Jalynn was second in 25:02, followed by Mackenzie Moss, 13, in 26:48.
Alexander Eccles (16, 23:02) and Abreham Anderson (15, 23:24) finished second and third respectively.
