Start of the Top Ten, 10-mile run in Colorado Springs

About 240 runners knocked out 10 miles on Saturday in the Grand Prix of Running's Top Ten race. Cool temperatures, a favorable wind and flat course made for some fast times.The Boulder Running Company's Craig Schmidt, 28, of Denver, took the win with a time of 54 minutes, 45 seconds. The Colorado Company's Elizabeth Watkins, 29, of Colorado Springs, won the women's race in 1:04:24.
The course began at the Grace Athletic Center and finished near Colorado College.
