Running, Cycling, Hiking and Climbing in the Pikes Peak Region
Ryan Hafer proved that he is recovered from a foot injury that sidelined him for most of last year with a commanding victory in the Winter Series No. 1 7-mile race Saturday at Cheyenne Mountain State Park. Hafer won in 42 minutes, 11 seconds, more than four minutes ahead of second-place Scott Spillman (46:28). C.M. Butler won the women's race in 54:01 with second-place Stephanie Meredith close behind in 54:09.
