Running, Cycling, Hiking and Climbing in the Pikes Peak Region
Rebecca Rusch said she was tired of battling the other top endurance riders. So she teamed up with them to race in the 24 Hours of Colorado Springs, USA Cycling's 24-Hour Mountain Bikes Championship, Oct. 1-2 at Palmer Park in Colorado Springs.
Rusch is riding with Jennifer Smith, Sonya Looney and Kelly Boniface on the SRAM team. The race began at noon on Oct.1. She stopped to talk after her second lap at about 6 p.m. with the team holding a big lead.
