Pua Mata talks about her decisive solo win at the 24 Hours of Colorado Springs, Oct. 2 at Palmer Park. The race served as USA Cycling's 24-Hour championship. Mata, of Anaheim, Calif., competed 15 laps - about 202.5 miles - on a technical course. With the win, she earned her second Stars and Stripes jersey in two weeks. Mata claimed USA Cycling's Marathon (50 miles) title on Sept. 17 in Bend, Ore.
