Running, Cycling, Hiking and Climbing in the Pikes Peak Region
Peter Maksimow of Manitou Springs is two-for-two this year. Maksimow won the Rescue Run on Jan. 1 and added another victory in the Winter Series No. 10K Saturday at Cheyenne Mountain State Park. Maksimow covered the hilly course - which included plenty of ice and snow, in 44:07. Michael Cernoia of Pueblo West was second in 45:23, followed by Joe McDaniel (46:24, Colorado Springs).
