Running, Cycling, Hiking and Climbing in the Pikes Peak Region
Nicole Mahobian of Highlands Ranch didn't want to to run in the rain and snow at the XTERRA Marathon of Trail Races Saturday at Cheyenne Mountain State Park. Then she saw her old friend, race director Victoria Seahorn. "Victoria is so awesome," Mahobian said. "She said, 'You're going to win, right.' And I thought, 'I'm not even sure I'm going to race. But I'll win for you."
Mahobian won for the third year and is the only woman to have won the half marathon on Cheyenne Mountain State Park's technical singletrack. She finished in 1:45:23.
