Joy Ride pedals into 2012
About 35 cyclists saddled up for the first Joy Ride of 2012 on Wednesday in Colorado Springs. The ride is hosted by Travis Flett of New Belgium Brewing and Steve and Randi Hitchcock of UpaDowna. Everyone is welcome and there is no need to worry about bringing a fancy bike. The Joy Ride is a "cruiser" event, so anything with pedals will work. Just remember to smile. (That won't be a problem.) The next two rides are scheduled for 5:30 p.m. April 4 and 18. Meet at McCabe's Tavern, 520 S. Tejon. Beginning in May, the ride will go every Wednesday. The route is short, flat and family friendly.
