Hello, fellow outdoors-types,

Here's a little about myself in a nutshell:

Childhood:

  • Grew up in Colorado Springs
  • swam alot
  • biked alot
  • got into art
  • go into 14-ers

College (and stuff):

  • swam in college
  • coached swimming
  • joined the Army
  • got married
  • did more 14-ers
  • finished art degree

Professional life:

  • taught art
  • had a baby
  • got deployed to Iraq
  • got out of the Army
  • had another baby
  • taught more art
  • got back into cycling
  • had another baby
  • got back into 14-ers
  • took up triathlons
  • still coaching
  • earned master's degree in secondary education
  • had another baby
  • still teaching art  and coaching swimming
  • still cycling, swimming, running
  • still tri-ing

I know it's a boring list, but it's what I've got.  I might make it better later, or maybe not.

"Spruce Mtn Rd is great, except for that occasional WIND!  No trees for protection.  I shouldn't complain.  I commute from the Springs to Falcon and the winds are kickin' out there, too..."
