Take 5 in the Garden, Gallery 1

Great race in the Garden of the Gods today. About 1,100 took on some extraordinarily warm temperatures and a hilly course in the Take 5 in the Garden 5K and 5-miler.
In the 5K, Edwin Sang, 30, of Colorado Springs, took the top spot with a quick 15:51:77. The 2011 XTERRA World Champion, Michi Weiss, 30, Colorado Springs, placed second about 10 ticks off the winning pace. WIlliam Dillon, 32, Colorado Springs, was third in 16:42:85.
In the women's 5K, Rochelle Persson, 44, Colorado Springs, on of the top masters runners in Colorado, won with a time of 19:02.44 Brianna Delorme (31, Colorado Springs) followed in 22:46, with Carrie Bradley charging home in 22:10:53, to claim third place.
In the 5-mile run, Amanda Ewing (31, Colorado Springs) beat the hills and the heat to win in 32:41.14. Natassia Tyler (26, Fort Carson) was second in 33:23.35. Julie Durrant (38, Colorado Springs) finished third in 35:07.32.
In the men's race, Scott Spillman (25, Colorado Springs) got the win in 29:18.72.
