Quinn's runners raise funds for Care and Share

By the end of the evening, the bucket used to collect funds for the Care and Share Food Bank was full of money.
With fires charring the hillsides and their neighbors being evacuated from their homes - some of which were burning to the ground - the Jack Quinn's runners provided some support.
"All were asking for is $1 from each of you," said club president Shawn Finley.
Though there was no official count, the bucket held a big donation.
It was one of the worst days in the city's history. With a strong wind at its back, the Waldo Canyon Fire marched across Queens Canyon and burned the historic Flying W Ranch to the ground, then invaded the Mountain Shadows neighborhood. Many homes were lost.
The Quinn's runners, put in their 5K, then headed back to Jack Quinn's.
And though the party afterward was subdued compared to other wild times, there was some cause for celebration as Manolo Gallegos ran for the 200th time, and Nichola Lembergs, julie Rhea and Roger Siverson completed their 100th runs. There were 10 who ran fo rthe 10th time and earched their coveted Jack Quinn's Running Club shirts.
