Quinn's runner drops 100 pounds, completes 100 club runs

Three years ago, Arlene Wanninger made a decision. It was time to lose weight, and not just a few pounds.
She wanted to change her life.
On Tuesday, 100 pounds lighter, Wanniger completed her 100th run with the Jack Quinn's Running Club.
he regulars exploded in cheers and applause as she stepped forward to receive her black-and-gold, long-sleeved "Century Shirt."
"It took me two years to lose all the weight," she said. "I did it with weight watchers. It was really just a matter of following a food plan and walking, but that t wasn't enough. I had to start running."
It was a good night for a run as the longer days are attracting more runners. About 16 picked up their 10-run shirts.
The club will run at Fit Body Studio, 2402 N. Nevada, Ave., next week. There will be live music and beer. It all begins at 5 p.m.
