Training for the Pikes Peak Ascent and Marathon officially began for the members of the Incline Club which made it's maiden voyage of the 2012-13 season on Sunday. Longtime mountain runner Matt Carpenter welcomed the group back as it prepared for a run in the foothills above Manitou Springs.
The Incline Club runs at 8 a.m. every Sunday, starting at Memorial Park. The runs last about two hours, with longer runs beginning in the springtime.
