Join the Pikes Peak Road Runners and PikesPeakSports.us Feb. 3 for Super Half Marathon and 5K!

The streets and trails of downtown Colorado Springs are not exactly the "Frozen Tundra of Lambeau Field" but on Super Bowl Sunday (Feb. 3) runners will race for paydirt there in the second Super Half Marathon and Game Day 5K.

This new event is a fundraiser for the Pikes Peak Road Runners and PikesPeakSports.us, organizations that work to promote running, racing and healthful living in Colorado Springs.

All participants will receive a long-sleeved cotton T-shirt and medal (at right).

The Half Marathon begins at 10 a.m. with the 5K following at 10:15 a.m. Both races begin near the corner of Tejon St. and Colorado Ave. (The actual Super Bowl kickoff is 4:30 p.m., so you'll have plenty of time to run and celebrate with us at Jack Quinn's pub.)

The Game Plan

• Runners park for free in the heated garage at Plaza of The Rockies, 121 S. Tejon. Enter the garage from Colorado Ave.
• Packet pickup (8:30 a.m.), and race day registration (9 a.m.) at the Plaza lobby.
• The course follows the Jack Quinn's Running Club route to the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail.
• Runners complete an out-and-back course finishing just south of the Bijou St. Bridge.
• 
  Post-race celebration
• Join us at Jack Quinn's (21 S. Tejon) for age-group awards and food and drink specials after your race!
