Event Description

You can get your trail running season started on April 14 with the new XTERRA Cheyenne Mountain State Park 12K/24K.

This is the third addition to Victoria Seahorn's XTERRA Marathon of Trail Races Series.

Shawn Finley at the Boulder Running Company has charted two new courses (12K and 24K) across the rolling hills of Cheyenne Mountain State Park.

I'm going to the Second annual Cheyenne Mountain Trail Race two weeks later on the 28th. It has both a 25k and 50k and should be warmer.

I'm really interested in this race. Wondering if I can get a few more details:

  • Is it all offroad?
  • Single track?
  • Big elevation gains?
  • Expected number or participants...closer to 200 or 1,000?
  • Where is the start/parking?
