The streets and trails of downtown Colorado Springs are not exactly the "Frozen Tundra of Lambeau Field" but on Super Bowl Sunday (Feb. 3) runners will race for paydirt there in the second Super Half Marathon and Game Day 5K.
This new event is a fundraiser for the Pikes Peak Road Runners and PikesPeakSports.us, organizations that work to promote running, racing and healthful living in Colorado Springs.
All participants will receive a long-sleeved cotton T-shirt and medal (at right).
The Half Marathon begins at 10 a.m. with the 5K following at 10:15 a.m. Both races begin near the corner of Tejon St. and Colorado Ave.
