This will be the final Max Silver Run. The event was started in 2008 in memory of Ma Silver, a Cheyenne Mountain High School graduate. The race is a fundraiser for the Little Dipper Pool and the Maxwell Silver Fund, which helps support the Southwest Writers Institute at Fort Lewis College.
Race day registration, $25 for kids and $30 for adults, begins at 6:45 a.m. at Cheyenne Mountain High School. The 5K race and 1.6-mile fun run/walk, begin at 7:30 a.m.
Stop by the Little Dipper Pool for food, fun and games after the race.
